Lecturers from Business School were invited to Parliament this week to showcase the School’s impact on society in a meeting with the local MP to connect students with businesses and the wider community, as well as its outreach and widening participation work.
The visit was particularly focused on the School’s ICAN initiative, which seeks to inspire learners from communities with historically low university progression, encouraging them to explore higher education and their own entrepreneurial ambitions.
The school delegates also spoke with the Members of Parliament about Business School’s research clusters, employability strategy, and their support for SMEs through initiatives like business innovation clinics held in Town, and delivering the Government-funded Help To Grow Management Programme.
